Case study: effective and safe communication for Grupa Azoty Puławy employees

Description of the business need
Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” Joint Stock Company belonging to Grupa Azoty is a leader of the Polish fertilizer and chemical industry, which has been supplying products to the market in Poland and in 50 other countries around the world for more than 60 years. About 50% of the products go to the domestic market and about 50% for export. Fertilizers constitute the most significant segment of Grupa Azoty's production.
Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” employs more than 3,000 people who have different needs related to telephone, audio and videoconference communication.
The client needed a high class, secure solution capable of providing functionality for a large number of employees with diverse requirements and working in scattered locations.
Implemented solutions, i.e. functionality and modules
The solution proposed by us meeting the expectations of the Client was UC (Unified Communication) system Avaya Aura. Standard system capabilities have been expanded by us
with additional functionalities and modules. The implemented system supports including elevated locations, more than 2800 users.
- SAFETY-RELATED FUNCTIONALITY:
Due to the need to ensure uninterrupted communication, in particular for a few dispatchers supervising chemical processes, redundancy of control elements and work management applications has been implemented Avaya Aura. - CALL RECORDING MODULE:
Communication security also requires recording conversations of selected users or phone numbers. Therefore, we proposed to meet these needs through the application Avaya Contact Recording. An important aspect here is the fact that the recordings are stored in a secure, encrypted way. - CONFERENCE MODULE:
Part of the system Avaya Meetings are video conferencing terminals that extend audio communication with good video quality of communicating people. The implementation of this module complemented the complexity of the proposed solutions, as well as improved the work of people working in remote or hybrid mode. - DEDICATED APP:
A very important requirement in this project was to provide support for automated audio conferencing for task teams. In response to these needs, we have made our author's application using the Avaya Meetings API. Thanks to the provided application, team members are automatically included in the audio conference at the appointed dates, both on landlines and mobile phones, and their participation is monitored and visualized online and available in historical reports.
Effects
Proof of the well-designed and implemented Unified Communication system in Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” S.A. is the signed and still functioning contract for extended maintenance and maintenance services provided by yarrl S.A.
We also draw attention to the fact that the scale of implemented solutions (also dedicated programming works) and functionalities was very large. The success is the comprehensive satisfaction of the diverse needs of the Client in UC, VC (Unified Communications - telecommunications, videoconferencing).
