“A team is like a crew — everyone has their rope, but we swim together.”

TOP 5 MOMENTS FROM THE CRUISE

  • The first joint setting of sails — a lesson in cooperation in practice
  • Learning to sail with the wind — charging energy at work
  • Evening bonfire on the shore — time for conversation and integration
  • Sunrise from the deck — a moment of silence and delight
  • “Silent Captain” — a game in which everyone could lead a yacht (if only symbolically!)

A close-knit crew on the Masurian course — a cruise full of wind and cooperation

For a few days we changed offices to aboard a yacht, and daily tasks to setting sails together. Masurian lakes are not only beautiful views, they are also an excellent space for team building. Our training and integration trip under sail was the best proof of this. Although relaxing, it required us to cooperate, communicate and trust each other - just like in everyday work.

The day on the boat started early. The rising sun on the surface of the lake compensated for everything. The morning coffee tasted better than in the office, and the breakfast on board had its own unique atmosphere. There were also “fruit mornings” on kei;). Then — klar, that is, the preparation of the boat and you could go on a cruise.

On the water, everyone had their job. The captain was in command, but success depended on the entire crew. Maneuvers, commands, decisions, everything had to work, like a well-oiled mechanism. And it worked because we are a team, not just in name.

The days under the sails were very intense, but it is not by sailing alone that man lives! During this trip we took part in a training “Burnout — Recognize, Understand, Prevent”, which, surrounded by nature and away from the daily hustle and bustle, has acquired a different meaning. Just as on a yacht you have to take care of balance, so at work it is worth learning to recognize the moments when the wind ceases to favor us. It was a valuable lesson in mindfulness for myself and for others.

Part of our crew also decided to go ashore and discover the secrets of history — direction: Mamerki. The World War II bunker complex made a huge impression. Walking through the concrete corridors and peering into the former military quarters, we were able to move in time for a moment. It was not only a history lesson, but also a great adventure!

Meanwhile, others decided to face the elements — despite the cool aura and somewhat capricious weather, they jumped into the lake! The cold water did not scare away the bravest — the bath was refreshing, and there was no shortage of laughter and good energy. Real tough guys!

We spent cold evenings in the ports by the campfire, to the rhythm of shant, with conversations that strengthened ties. It was a time of laughter, memories and plans for further adventures together.

This year's cruise was not only an opportunity for relaxation and integration, but also for a symbolic event — the christening of our new helmsman Justyna. The ceremony was carried out in the spirit of sailing tradition. Who knows, maybe in a year, Justyna will be joined by another helmsman? This year, several people have caught the boating bug and it looks like this is just the beginning of their adventure with water and wind. Fingers crossed for future captains!

This cruise has shown us that a well-rounded crew can handle any wind and on the water, and at work. Hello, adventure! We will return to these waters — richer with new experiences, memories and knowledge that we brought not only from the deck, but also from the workshops. These were ideal conditions to catch your breath, gather energy and look at everyday life from a new perspective.

What did the cruise teach us?

Crew!

We plan to return to Masuria in a year, and already on June 24 we will continue the workshops on energy management at work, so as not to allow burnout.
