Gold record

In the corporate market, if the customer chooses low-code technology, it means that an enterprise-class application is to be designed and implemented. The expected functions of such an application are complex, the processes and algorithms are complicated, and for this they are specified most often at a fairly high level of abstraction, the client team is burdened with other responsibilities, and the project sponsors after deciding to launch the implementation have different priorities. In such cases, the project implementation with a focus on functions works best for us — the approach to projects, closest to our practice, is described in the FDD methodology - Feature-Driven Development. Our methodology is in line with the demands of Agile, primarily focusing on the goal of the project and the delivery of working software in the shortest possible time periods.

The basic measure of the progress of work in an agile project, consistent with the postulates of Agile, is a working application.

The project usually begins with the development of the overall scope of the system, its context and environment. The knowledge gathered during the initial modeling is used to identify the list of functions and decompose it into thematic areas. The next task is to develop a plan and design individual functions — processes, algorithms, activities, UI.

Our low-code platform provides the designer with a graphical design environment, thanks to which each of the processes or algorithms after the design (drag and drop - drag & drop) works and can be verified by the client or checked in the runtime environment (debugger), according to the principle that the basic measure of progress of work in an agile project is a running application. Communication is also key to the success of the project. The client's business team and low-code designers have to work together every day throughout the project, and the presentation of working software at the earliest possible stage of the project allows both to detect gaps and correct functionality, and gives the opportunity to reflect on whether it is definitely not possible to simplify the process, algorithm, decision, according to one of the Agile postulates of simplicity and maximization of the amount of unfinished work. An agile approach in the case of low-code applications also means openness to changes, which often appear at a late stage of the project, e.g. when expanding the testing team.

Gold record, or a single source of truth about the client

Personal data changes - customers change names, place of residence, points of contact, phones and email addresses. How can you handle all this changing data?

La risposta è la creazione di un record oro that provides app users with the only source of truth about customers. The Golden Record presents all collected data about the client, including personal data of the client, current contact details, a list of products used by the customer with an indication of the source system in which the transaction was registered, history and contact plan, a list of consents to the processing of personal data in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.

On the low-code platform Meltemee we have developed an application that supports organizations processing large volumes of data, usually in multiple IT systems, in organizing personal data. The application eliminates duplicate data and provides the result in the form of the so-called “golden record”. Usually, the gold record is available in 360° view and in integrated applications such as CRM or Contact Center.
